2025 was a busy year for Learn Antibiotics and IDstewardship.
As we look to 2026, this article provides a look back and checkpoint in the life of IDstewardship.com, LearnAntibiotics.com, and the IDstewardship social media profiles. In composing this reflection it continues to be readily apparent that the people who make IDstewardship possible deserve great recognition. This includes all of the amazing people who are contributors, site visitors, and everyone who shares our content. Without our community of fantastic humans, none of this would be possible.
Two major things that happened in 2025 were (1) expanding use of TIKTOK, (2) publication of the Drug Name Emoji Game Book + Deck of Cards as well as the Medication Inspired Dog Names book.

FORWARD LOOKING STATEMENT
In 2026 expect us to work a lot on the Learn Antibiotics website as we look to build out a new book as well as add and update resources. We will also be using AI to make blog posts on IDstewardship better, as we collaborate with talented folks to share experiences in the area of antimicrobial pharmacotherapy, infectious diseases, clinical pharmacy, and related areas. On social media expect a consistent presence on Instagram (cross-posted to Facebook) and TIKTOK, with lesser but still some activity on other platforms.
As we go through 2026 it is likely that emerging new technologies, changes the antimicrobial & resistance landscape, world events, and feedback from our readers will further guide the way. Thank you for your support and we look forward to a productive and successful year of learning and fun!
